The eligibility period for all projects is January 1, 2015, through December 31, 2015.
SUBMISSIONS AND ENTRY FEES for Urban Book of the Year Category ONLY
Authors seeking the honorary award for Urban Book of the Year for the AAMBC Literary Awards must be completed online at www.AAMBCAwards.com. Click Submissions
There is a $150, non-refundable processing fee for each submission.
Payments can be made at the completion of the online submission via PayPal credit card processing. Upon submission of your application a PayPal invoice will be sent to you. Deadline is April 30, 2015. **Note an author or its representative can enter**
The Five (5) nominees chosen for the Urban Book of the Year Award will be featured on the AAMBC Awards site, interviewed on the red carpet, reserved seating at the red carpet ceremony, and placement in the awards program.
Nominations for ALL other categories are from public submissions via the nomination links on our website at www.AAMBCAwards.com . Sending multiple nominations will not garner a greater chance at a nomination. You simply only need to send one submission form. The ONLY category required an entry fee is the Urban Book of the Year Award.

During a specified screening process the nominations will be reviewed by industry professionals. The screening is reviewed from individuals ranging from publishers, bloggers, book club presidents, publicist, editors, agents, and the AAMBC staff during the beginning parts of May.
Based on the member’s evaluation, the member then determines their top five (5)
Selections per category and applies the following criteria to each selection:

Notification of Nomination:
Once nominees are chosen a live broadcast will be hosted on a special airing of AAMBC Radio at www.blogtalkradio.com/aambc . Also live tweets will go out on our twitter on account @aambookclub
An email will be sent to the nominee notifying them of their nomination and as well as we will supply them with a virtual nomination badge to promote your nod and seek votes.
We will ask the nominee to;
- Confirm spelling of name and project/business
- Main contact to publisher or agent (secondary contact)
- RSVP for the red carpet ceremony
Nominees do not get FREE admission to the ceremony. But will be offered perks for the awards weekend and an invitation to be a part of the AAMBC Awards Inaugural Ceremony DVD special.
Winners of the AAMBC Award:
Winners will NOT be notified beforehand on their win. Winners will be announced live at the red carpet ceremony. Segments of the event will be recorded for the AAMBC Awards Inaugural Ceremony DVD. The winners will also be tweeted out during the live ceremony on our twitter account @aambookclub and live images will be posted on our Instagram @aambookclub. Follow the trend #AAMBCAwards

Can readers come or is it just for authors? Readers and book clubs are welcomed to come
Do nominees have to purchase admission tickets? Yes they do
Can I be a vendor at this event? Vending is allowed at the Friday event, Lit Ish, and Sunday’s books and coctails event. It is on first come basis.
